DONATE!
Our cats will thank you!!

  Stray

Abbey Cat Adoptions is a non-profit registered charity dedicated to finding permanent homes for unwanted cats and kittens. Each year, ACA rescues hundreds of cats from outdoor environments, over crowded shelters, and other situations. We work closely with foster parents and potential adopters to find suitable, permanent homes for an overwhelming number of unwanted animals.

Unlike most animal shelters, Abbey Cats has a "zero euthanasia policy". This means that no cat in our program is ever "put-down" due to old age, lack of space, or adoptability. Every Abbey Cat is guaranteed a safe, loving foster home, quality food and veterinary care until they are permanently placed with a carefully screened adopter. From special needs cats who need to spend a few months with experienced cat owners to healthy well socialized cats who just need an emergency stopover while their adoption is being arranged, ACA has successfully placed more than 1200 cats/kittens and even a few dogs.

Mom and Kittens

Abbey Cats an entirely volunteer-based charity that relies exclusively on the generosity of like-minded animal lovers who believe that every cat has the right to a safe and loving permanent home; we are not government funded. Because ACA is based exclusively out of foster homes and has no overhead expenses, 100 percent of every donation goes directly towards food and medical care for the animals.

In an effort to continue rescuing cats and kittens, Abbey Cat Adoptions is desperately seeking your support. Any donation, no matter how small, will help us in covering the cost of care for the more than 100 animals currently in our foster program. Donating to ACA is a great way to help if you are unable to foster or adopt at this time and will give you the satisfaction of knowing that you helped to save the life of an animal who would have not otherwise had a second chance at life. Every donation over $15 is tax deductible. There are two ways to help:

Milagra is now up for adoption

Milagra was rescued just before her kittens were born. Shortly afterward, she was rushed to the emergency vet clinic with a prolapsed uterus. For her overnight stay, the bill was $1,000. She was then moved to our regular veterinary clinic, where we estimate the bill at a further $500.

Milagra & family

We would greatly appreciate any donation, however small, to assist with the cost of her veterinary bill, as well as KMR for the kittens.

For any donation over $15.00, a tax receipt will be issued.

    Destiny Update

DestinyHer pregnancy turned out to be a grossly enlarged kidney, which if had not been removed, would have killed her.

She's now home from the vet, and seems to be making good progress, but will require to be on a special diet until she recovers fully.

For those of you who donated, we want to thank you and to know that those donations saved her life twice over. Once because we could board her and twice to pay for the surgery, which we discovered she required.

    Destiny thanks you.
