If you can convince even one person to spay or neuter their pet, over one year you will prevent 28 unwanted cats from being born. It has been calculated that in just 6 years, one unspayed cat will be responsible for 76,000 descendants!

People often say, "Oh, I find homes for the kittens my cat has." This means an equal number of kittens will be euthanized at an animal pound.

If you've always wanted to see the birth and first few weeks of kittenhood first hand, ACA has pregnant cats in desperate need of shelter. See our fostering page to find out how you can help an abandoned mother and kittens and help keep the unwanted cat population to a minimum.

Abbey Cat Adoptions is an all-volunteer organization that is entirely privately funded and always in need of additional resources.

Adoption

ACA's ultimate goal, the best way to help a cat is by giving it a permanent home. See our available cats to find the perfect new addition to your family.

Fostering

ACA doesn't have a shelter but temporarily houses cats awaiting adoption through its all-volunteer foster home network. Each new place in our network means another life saved. Find out how you can help by simply providing some space in a spare room or basement while ACA finds a permanent home for a cat in need. More on fostering.
