Dove

Dove came from a shelter up North but was possibly in another foster home/program before called Animals First. She suffered a "traumatic tail incident" before she was surrendered that made her very wary of people. She took a month to stop living under the bed in her current foster home. Now she loves pets and likes to play with small toys, though wand toys still scare her a little. She is in a house with two adults and two cats. She likes to sleep next to the other cats and greet her fosters in the morning, and when they come home from work, now that she is better adjusted.

Dove likes to be a part of a pack. She likes to cuddle other cats and to be around them. Dove is very shy and slow to trust people at first, so she will need an experienced cat owner who can be patient and knows how to make a very scared cat comfortable.

Dove requires a bit of patience initially as she will likely hide for some time, but once she feels safe and opens up, get ready for one cuddly cat. A quiet home with adults and/or older children with cat experience would be best.

Dove must be adopted with a cat in the program or have another cat at home.
