Rico

Rico was found (along with his brother Barry) on a farm in northern Ontario and was taken to a local shelter before moving to his foster home in Toronto where he wasted no time exiting his carrier, took one look around, and promptly decided he was king of this particular castle.

Rico is a very energetic, inquisitive and determined kitten with a slightly mischievous streak.
He and his brother both like being up on things (like bookshelves and coffee tables) and as good jumpers may turn out to be high cats (a tall kitty condo for climbing and play is recommended for these brothers).
Rico is VERY interested in food.

Rico is an extremely friendly cat who happily approaches visitors and willingly jumps on their laps for attention, even if he doesn’t stay long (he’s just too busy to rest!).
He is an excellent snuggler and likely to be a good lap cat when he grows up.

Barry and Rico have the softest fur and sweetest meows.
Rico’s purr starts almost the second you start to pet him and keeps rumbling away until you stop.
He is (naughty streak aside) a sweet kitten with good litter box habits.

Rico and his brother spend most of their time together, playing, sleeping, eating and exploring, although they will be found in different parts of the house from time to time.
They will often snuggle together, but also seem happy just to lie near each other and can often be found curled up at opposite ends of the sofa.

They are great companions for each other and should be adopted together.

Rico’s likes: wrestling with his brother, grabbing your feet as you walk by the bed (but with paws as soft as clouds, never claws), …
.. love the attention of older children (8+) who know how to play with them properly.
Older cats may be less than thrilled with Rico’s energy

Rico’s dislikes: Being told “no”

Rico and his brother currently live in a house with two adults and no other pets or children, but are very outgoing and will likely thrive in many types of households—they are full of beans and work out a lot of their energy on each other, but also love playing with their human friends and would no doubt love the attention of slightly older children (6+) who know how to play with them properly (older cats, however, may be less than thrilled with their antics).

Rico would like to be adopted into a home with another active cat, or with his brother Barry.
He and Barry are very different energies and would be fine together, but might be better split up and going with different cat friends  who have more similar energies
