Pavel is a sweet, nearly three-year-old boy who was abandoned outdoors in Northern Ontario.
He is handsome boy - with the most gorgeous green eyes and he looks a bit like a mini Norwegian Forest Cat.
The trauma of the experience has clearly had an impact on him, however, and although he seems to want affection, he takes a bit of time to develop trust in new situations
Pavel has begun showing his curious side.
He loves playing with other cats, always wanting to be in the middle of whatever is going on.
Although he trusts cats more than people at the moment, he is starting to recognize the joys of scritches.
Pavel is getting more and more relaxed but still prefers to approach you rather than to be approached.
Pavel may suddenly appear beside you to ask for your scritches, but does not appreciate you approaching too quickly.
Pavel may eventually be a snugglebug (he has a tendency to lean so heavily into being petted that he falls over), but as he’s started to hide less it’s become clear that the “person” he’s most interested in getting attention from is the other foster cat in the home - approaching the other cat and settling down as close to him as he’s allowed.
Because he is comforted by being with other cats, he really needs to be adopted into a home with a cat buddy.
He must be adopted with another cat or by a family that already has a resident feline, and who are happy to appreciate him on his own terms.
