Raine and her siblings Duncan and Shawnee were rescued from a high volume shelter up north where they have problems finding appropriate adopters for cats in that area.
Raine is still very skittish and after 5 weeks in her foster home is still very hesitant about coming too close to humans.
It took her 2 weeks of hiding under the bed before she would come out for food.
She’s now eating in the kitchen and playing out in the open, but is still very wary of people, and will not allow herself to be picked up.
Raine is a beautiful, sweet and regal Russian Blue Cross who will need to be adopted with her sister Shawnee who she loves and plays with and relies on for company.
Raine (and Shawnee) would do best in a quiet home (no dogs or small children) with a family who has the patience to allow her to blossom into a loving companion in her own time and on her own terms.
