The Abbey Cat Success Stories
Below are listed some of the success stories we have received from you. Thank you to all of our adoptive families for taking time to share their stories and images of their beautiful cats.

Sonia (was Sylvania)

Sonia

Hi! I just thought I would pop you an email and let you know that Sonia (Sylvania) is doing really well. She spent the whole of Sunday exploring the apartment, meowing and then cuddling! She is adjusting very well and appears to be pleased and has a great appetite which is really good I think! She follows us around and is really taken with Tim (she sleeps on his night table!) She let me trim her nails while asleep and give her a little brush too, but when I do that she wakes up and just wants to play with it:) I attached some photos for you to have a look at! you'll be glad to know she sleeps on her blanket and plays with the lovely toys you kindly provided for us. Thank you so much for that. I will send you some more photos is a few weeks to update you on her progress. Other than that she and we are doing really well! Regards, Dominika

Sonia

Penlow

Penlow

Hi Abbeycats! I just wanted to let you all know how happy I am with adopting Penlow this past summer. I've enjoyed watching her grow from a wee kitty to a larger 9 month old still kitten. Despite her abundant growth probably due to being a Maine Coon mix, she has never lost her playfulness and still loves to be cuddled. Abbeycats does a wonderful job finding homes for all their cats and I'm grateful Penlow was able to become part of my family. Thank you all, Lisa

Yama (was Mr. Bo Jangles)

Yama & Kirei

Yama (aka Bojangles) and Kirei at Christmas
(They came together for the first time)

I trust you had a great Christmas ... so the very best to you in the new year 2010 ... and every success to you in all of your endeavours throughout this year. I hope you get to place all of the cats that come to you during this year!! Sincerely, Art

Kima (was Flavia)

Kima

Hi Abbeycats, hope you are enjoying the holiday season. I know we are with the new member of the family! It took my boyfriend about 10 seconds to fall in love with her and named her Detective Shakima Greggs (a character from a favourite television show, The Wire). We call her Kima for short. Kima is a very well behaved kitty and we are so pleased that she is so polite. Nor is she clumsy like the family rough collie dog who comes for holiday visits. She is adjusting very well here we think (and hope) by selecting choice spots for snoozing, greeting us when we come home, and coming to us when we beckon her new name. Thanks so much Marion and to Abbey Cats, Helen

Angus (was Herrick)

Angus

Hi Abbeycats! Thought I would give you a quick update on Angus (formerly known as Herrick). He is doing really really well. He was neutered at the beginning of January and everything went well. He is growing like a week and is almost as big as my 5 year old cat. When I took him to be neutered we weighed him and he was 9 1/2 lbs! And he's still got lots of growing to do....... He is quite a character, loves to play and he actually sometimes plays "fetch" and brings things to me after I've thrown them for him. He's incredibly affectionate as well and loves to snuggle. He and my older cat are getting on very well, they play a lot and also groom each other too. I've attached a couple of pics so you can see how big he's getting.

Andrew

Andrew

Hi Abbeycats, My apologies for the delay in sending you this email. Just wanted to say that Andrew is very healthy and doing well. He's still a little ball of energy, and extremely curious. He likes to sit in the bathroom window, jump in the shower with you, sleep in the bathroom sink, and occassionally we find him drinking out of the toilet if we forget to put the seat down:) He never fails to entertain us, is there to greet us when we get home from work, and he loves his cuddle time.....usually curling up on your chest and purring constantly. Just wanted to send you our heartfelt thanks for helping us make Andrew a part of our family. We love him dearly, and it's hard to imagine what life would be like without him. Many Thanks.... Cara and Harold
