Buttons And Bingo Are Now Francis And Felix!

Good morning, everyone!

Hope you are all doing well.
I wanted to give you an update on the two kittens I recently adopted – Francis and Felix, formally Buttons and Bingo.

They are hilarious beyond words.
I’ve never known a more bonded pair of kitties in my life.
They also get along with my other cats – mostly Sebastian, where they constantly snuggle with him.
I find the three of them asleep on the couch or on my bed in a big heap.
Liam, who is almost 18, tolerates the youngsters but he mostly sleeps in his bed in my office.

The two have devloped such diverse personalities – and they are both so darn cute.
They love people – they don’t mind being cuddles, although Felix is more hands-off.
Francis thinks I’m his mommy as he’s always hanging out and wants to be cuddles.
At night, I wake up and find them snuggled right up to me.

They’ve also grown twice their size – their coats are glossy, shiny and soft, and you can see their markings quite clearly now (Francis has a big heart on his chest.)
They will be going in for their surgery late next month.

Anyways, I wanted to let you all know they have settled in quite nicely.
I’ve included some photos for you to enjoy.
Thank you all again. These little ones bring new love and adventure to each day!

Warmly
Rita

I’m so glad you enjoyed the update and photos!
And yes! Please use the photos and story on your success story page.
I would love to send you more photos as they come along – every day I photograph these munchkins and every day they seem to evolve into a different cat!

Thank you for letting me share.
Right now – I wish you could see – Sebastian (who also came from a shelter, btw – as do all my cats) and the two little monsters are a rolling around the ground and playing. It just makes your heart swell!

Have a great day and chat soon.
Warmly
Rita

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year wishing you all the best in 2026.

Rumi Has Become Part Of The Family!

Hi Abbey Cat team,

I wanted to share a quick update after one incredible month with Rumi — she has truly been the best addition to our home. She’s settled in so well and loves being social with our family and friends. She’ll even hop onto our laps while we’re sitting and chatting, just to make sure she’s part of the conversation!

We also took her to her first vet appointment, and it went perfectly. She’s now up to date on all her shots, and her annual wellness exam came back great — a happy, healthy girl. We’re so grateful to the Abbey Cat team; we honestly can’t imagine our lives without Rumi.

Here’s a fun photo of her getting into the Christmas spirit:

Stella & Luna Have A Beautiful Bond!

Hello

We’d like to thank Abby Cat Rescue for giving us the opportunity to adopt Stella and Luna.
They came to us well socialized and litter trained thanks to their foster home.
Their foster mom did a great job with them and we’re incredibly thankful to her.

Stella and Luna are a pair of bonded sisters and are inseparable.
We adopted them at 3 months old and they have since grown into our home.
We had an elderly cat Maggy (since passed) who taught them their manners and to respect other cats.
Stella and Luna continue to grow together, and we are happy to give them their forever home.

Adopting two bonded sisters has been a dream of ours and Abbey Cat Rescue helped make it possible.

Clover & Lily Have Settled In Beautifully!

We are just obsessed with them and they are so lovely and sweet and funny!
I can’t believe it has been a full month since we got them!
They hid in the laundry room for a few days – Clover took a few hours to emerge and Lily took a bit longer, but now they are thriving and so happy!
Lily follows me around ALL DAY.
They both sleep ON my husband’s legs, and then Clover then cozies up on my shoulder every night.
She also plops on the floor in front of me and does rolls to show her tummy!
We get lots of slow eye blinks and purrs from both of them.
And they are SO SOFT.

They have excellent appetities, use their litter box so well and are growing!
They are really playful – they received alot of toys from our friends and they love coils, plastic balls with bells inside, a little stuffed fish and ANY catnip toy.
They also LOVE their cat stand and scratching post which is in front of our window so they can bask in the sunbeams.
They snuggle together and groom each other. We call them a “catball” LOL.

We are so grateful for them, that they chose us, and that we can give them the life they deserve after such a traumatizing beginning to their sweet lives. They have brought so much joy to our household, as well as my extended family and neighbours, who all stop in to snuggle them.

Please know that they are LOVED, and use whatever pictures make sense for the website and let people know how amazing they are!!

And a shout out to Michelle, who fostered them so beautifully — they are very sociable and well adjusted!

And special thanks to Susan Hanna, who first made me aware of your wonderful organization.

Thanks again to EVERYONE!

Best,

Sharon Lee and Martin
