Carmela was rescued by Abbey Cats while already heavily pregnant. She came to her foster mom with another cat from the colony. Carmela got along really well with the other cat until she was adopted. They played together and groomed although Carmela prefered to do the cleaning vs being cleaned. Based on these observations, she would likely do well around other cats and probably children too. She’s very gentle and doesn’t use her claws unless she’s playing. She made herself very comfortable before delivering her litter and easily delivered a litter of three kittens. Carmela has been a very attentive Mama, she’s always teaching her kittens something new. When her litter was about 5 weeks old they had an orphan join them. Carmela took in Nara from the first moment and has completely accepted her with her litter.
Carmela loves to eat both wet and dry food. She likes to ask for treats and is very eager for pets especially around meal time.
She likes to have some kind of clumping litter and preferably an open litter box.
Carmela would love to have lots of windows of the outdoors to watch and loves to be brushed pretty regularly since she has a medium length coat. Carmela will be spayed once she’s weaned her kittens, and is looking for her forever home!
