Dulcie was surrendered to Abbey Cats due to severe allergies in the family. They tried air cleaners/filters, segregating Dulcie among other things that didn't help; the daughter's reaction continued to get worse. It became apparent that even though it would break their heart they would have to find Dulcie a new home. After asking friends and family and not getting any takers, he turned to Abbey Cats for help.
Although Dulcie is a mature cat, she has the energy and spirit of a much younger cat. As soon as the feather wand and chime balls come out she springs to action and is ready to play. She also enjoys watching the squirrels from the window sill. She is a very social girl and likes to chat to her foster family while breakfast or dinner is being served and will sit by the door waiting for her foster family to come home.
A little shy at first once she warms up to you she loves to sit on your lap and cuddle for hours and at bedtime she will take her place at the foot of the bed and settle in for the night.
Dulcie would do best in a quiet home without small children, dogs or other cats.
