Karma & Nima

Karma is a very loving and affectionate Bengal who has only ever been an indoor cat.

Karma is a very affectionate and loving Bengal who has beautiful classic Bengal markings. He likes a lot of human attention, and is very kind and loving. He loves to rub against you 24/7, and is really happiest when he is the centre of attention. He prefers to sit beside you and kneed your side while you pet him (or even pet him vigorously, or pat his back like you are ‘burping’ him is his favorite). He will purr very loudly and kneed you all day if he could!

Karma does become upset when he’s not the centre of attention, and can become vocal when he doesn’t’ get his way. He will tell you when he’s unhappy, and he will seek comfort from you when he’s not getting the attention he wants. He tends to run towards his food bowl when he can’t get your attention, or he seeks his ‘safe spaces’ when he’s not with you (like his head inside his cat tunnel, or in a large and supportive cat bed). He can also be triggered by weird noises (such as the clinking of unloading a dishwasher, or weird loud noises from the TV).

Karma gets along well with dogs and loves attention from all humans, but it can take him a day or two to warm up to younger kids that he doesn’t know yet. But once he knows they can be trusted, he is very happy! Karma is very tolerant, he has never tried to bite or scratch anyone.

He is used to a dry food only diet; he has the tendency to get sick when he eats wet food or treats. He does tend to gravitate towards food when he’s upset (including dog food or any meat or even chickpeas that are left on the kitchen counter!). He requires regular brushing (which he LOVES – he will sit and be brushed all day if you have time) to avoid hairballs. He only scratches his cat tree or his scratching posts that are spread around his home. Karma’s anxiety is triggered by weird noises, so he does require a very clean and quiet place for his litter. The vibration of a washing machine (for example) does tend to scare him and make him upset.

Karma will bite or stand up for himself if the other cat doesn’t respond to his want for attention or cuddles. Therefore, he would probably respond best to living with a family without additional cat so he can be the centre of attention and won’t have the potential to get jealous of the other cat getting the human attention he wants for himself.

Karma MUST be adopted with Nima.
