August came to Abbey Cats through an overcrowded shelter north of the city. She and her two sisters (Gosforth and Jesmond) are beautiful, fluffy, friendly, silly, playful, affectionate angels.
They are all litterbox stars with very good hygiene and are highly oriented towards people and each other. We don't know much about their past, other than that their mother abandoned them at a young age. Ever-resilient, this super social crew has not skipped a beat, all three of them purr like motors as soon as you make eye contact with them.
August is a little lazier than her sisters, often falling asleep in the food bowl mid-meal. She is a lap and shoulder cat, and she loves cuddling on the couch and watching shows with the humans.
All three of them get along well with the other kittens in the house and are fearless with the dogs in the house. They don't seem super interested in befriending the dogs, but they immediately took to the younger kittens from a different litter, showing them how to play and clean each other. They have experience being handled by a very enthusiastic yet gentle 5-year-old but seem more inclined to snuggle with the adults in the home.
They like playing with all kinds of cat toys but will keep themselves busy doing judo with each other in a pinch.
August needs to be adopted with Avon.
Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company. Any kittens over 6 months may need the company of another young cat.
