Cleo came to AbbeyCats as one of the kittens from an overcrowded northern shelter.
She arrived at her foster home with 3 other kittens (most likely siblings).
Cleo is the smallest of the group, when she came she wasn't playing or eating much.
This has changed over the past days, she is eating well and doesn't let her brothers push her away from her dish anymore.
Cleo plays at her own pace, likes the feather toy very much and has started to play with her brothers.. they can be too rough at times but she is growing stronger.
This is a sweet, calm kitten who makes a great companion, she sits right besides the laptop when her foster mom is working and falls asleep.
Her current home consists of foster mom, foster mom's husband and their resident cat Maki (4 years old).
Due to covid the humans are home all the time and are able to provide the kittens with a structured schedule that consists of food, play and snuggle time.
Cleo is a beautiful soul, whose appetite and energy levels are improving daily and she needs to be encouraged not to allow her brothers to steal her food as she is more passive than they are.
She eats slowly and daintily like the lady she is.
For now, she has a low to moderate energy level, plays with the feather toy for some times and then gets sleepy and goes to a high place to watch her brother play before she falls asleep.
Hendrix usually gets tired right after Cleo and they sometimes go to sleep together while their brothers keep playing.
Her other brothers were recently adopted this evening so she and Hendrix are now on their own and we expect the bond between them to become even closer.
This cat needs to be adopted with Hendrix or have another kitten of similar age and energy at home
Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company. Any kittens over 6 months may need the company of another young cat.
