Esker came to Abbey Cats from an overcrowded house with too many cats.
He is currently being fostered with his mum and a few foster buddies in a single family home.
Esker is an affectionate but slightly more reserved little guy.
He is a little bit nervous about loud noises and is learning about what his new life is like in a world where there is more space to roam and plenty of food to go around, and he's starting to really dig it.
Esker often starts off a little bit shy with new people, but once you hang around him for a bit, he realizes humans aren't so bad and comes to sit on your lap for some cuddles.
So far, he doesn't really love being picked up, but the more he is handled, the happier he is.
The way to get this guy to open up is though food and play time.
After a few minutes of playing, his guard easily comes down and he comes right out of this shell.
As Esker is the last of his litter to leave the nest, he would love to be adopted with his foster mate Leia.
He would also do best in a home without really small children as he's still a bit nervous.
Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company.
Any kittens over 6 months may need the company of another young cat.
