Eugene would benefit from a quiet home with adults and older children.
He needs to have a cat buddy.

Eugene is an adolescent male who was born outside. As such, he developed a defensive and skittish personality, avoiding being close to humans.

Over time and with a friendly cat to help ‘socialize’ him, Eugene has come out of his shell.
The experience could not have been more wonderful or beneficial for him.

While quite shy and scared at first, Eugene has rapidly befriended his foster family's cat and humans, having never hissed or caused any complications.
He loves to play chase with the resident cat and the two have already started cuddling together after just a couple of weeks.

He is food motivated and is also very quiet, rarely giving his people the pleasure to hear his tiny meows.
However, Eugene is still in the process of adapting to humans.
He will let himself be picked up a few times a day, especially if he is lying on the couch or if he feels like it, but more often than not, he will just walk away and let you know that he is not ready yet.
Once held, he is quick to purr and to enjoy the pets.
All things considered, Eugene most definitely needs a friendly young cat at home with not too many stimuli (from a dog or small kids).
