When first rescued from a hoarding situation in July 2020, Hecuba was a very shy, very timid, very skinny kitten who only left her bed to eat and use her box. She couldn't be more different now!
Even though she's still petite, Hecuba has blossomed into an active, curious and playful kitten.
One of her favourite discoveries in her new life is toys.
At most points during the day, she can be found carrying her one of her favourites around in her mouth from room to room, and is starting to learn to fetch. The home Hecuba was rescued from always had the curtains closed, but once arriving in foster care she quickly learned the joys of looking outside and taking midday naps on the window sill in the sun.

Hecuba loves her foster sibling Nala. They are best friends and Hecuba searches for Nala, even when it's nap time.

Hecuba has learned to trust humans since being rescued and loves to follow her foster mom around.
In terms of household, she should be somewhere without small children.
Loud noises, including the vacuum, don’t bother her in the least but since she’s still learning what love from humans is, small children might be a tad overwhelming.
She has no behavioural problems so an ideal adopter would be someone who is is willing to work with her to gain trust, make her feel safe and understand she’s not quite ready (yet) to crawl into a lap or cuddle without a lot of encouragement.

Hecuba needs to be adopted with her friend Nala.

If Hecuba can't find Nala, she cries until she locates her and then lies on top of her to cuddle.

Hecuba is very bonded to Nala and the two MUST be adopted together...
