Mario was born to a foster mom in the Abbey Cats program.
He was moved to his current foster home to prepare for adoption and has become fast friends with Pepe - who may actually be his half brother.
Both their moms had been rescued while pregnant from the same home.
These two boys are a week apart in age and the must be adopted together.
Mario was very timid and shy when he came to stay with us a week ago.
It took him a few days to come out of hiding and allow us to pet him.
Patience, quiet and the fun of playing with a new brother has brought this little guy out of hiding and he is now showing how special he is!
He is now allowing his foster family to pet him but still isn't too keen on being picked up, although he allows it.
He has started greeting his foster mom in the morning purring which is so lovely to see how much progress he's made in just a week!
Mario will need a quiet home with a patient family that will allow him to continue gaining his confidence.
He is quiet a funny character who loves to play but doesn't like loud sudden noises and transitions slowly in new situations.
His new "brother" Pepe has helped him come out of hiding to explore new places and experiences.
Mario needs to be adopted with Pepe
Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company. Any kittens over 6 months may need the company of another young cat.
