Modena aka Moddie was brought to Abbey Cats from a shelter north of the city that was overcrowded.
She arrived with her friend Pisa and have been in foster care since early November. Both Pisa and Modena were not quite sure what a home environment was all about. They are in a quiet home with 2 adults and they should find a forever home that is similar in composition. They startle easily from loud noises and visitors in the home will cause them to run and hide. Through a lot of patience and slow nurturing they are coming out of their shell and blossoming into lovely cuddly cats.
Modena has been a little slower to trust than Pisa but she has proven that she loves pets and really enjoys belly rubs and chin scratches. Her foster mom still allows her to sniff her hand first to make sure she's in the mood for attention. At times Modena still hisses and then get confused and meows instead. Her fur is short and she has a lovely mix of black, white, and calico.
She loves to play and will furiously chase toys that are wands with feathers or long string type toys. She's got wonderful hunter instincts and will play until she pants. Modena also enjoys running around with Pisa and they chase each other and play fight often as well.
Pisa and Modena are very fond of each other and need to stay together. Modena needs a quiet home with someone who is willing to be patient with her as she gets used to new surroundings. She will reward you well.
