Mosaic is a playful kitten who is a joy to be around.
Mosaic seems carefree now, but when she came to us at Abbey cats, she was not doing well.
Someone brought her in from outside, noticing that she looked sick and was banging into things.
We took her to the vet and discovered that she was fully blind and had several (curable) health issues, including several problems with her ears that made her unable to hear.
After being on medication for a couple of months, all of her health issues have been resolved (except for her vision), and she can hear very well now.
Mosaic will be blind for the rest of her life, but that doesn’t stop her from running, climbing, exploring, and playing.
She is very enthusiastic about life, and seems to be a very happy cat.
Mosaic loves to play.
She prefers toys that make noise, so that she can find them more easily, but she’ll play with just about anything.
She also loves to play with the other foster cat in her home, although she can play a bit rough at times.
Mosaic loves to sleep on pillows, and often sleeps in the bed with humans as well.
She loves to climb all over people, so her foster parents will sometimes be surprised by a cat walking unsteadily over their face, but she almost never uses her claws on a persons skin (except sometimes when playing, when she’ll often miss the toy and get your hand).
Mosaics blindness and enthusiasm means that she needs a little more attention than some other cats.
She needs to get used to a single room first, and then start to explore the rest of the home.
She is very eager to explore, but will bump her head into a lot of walls if you don’t help her to adjust slowly.
She loves cat trees, but might need a little help learning how to get down from a new tree after climbing it.
With a little patience, she’ll learn quickly.
She would do best in a home that stays consistent, so that she is not banging into furniture and items that she’s not used to.
She prefers when you approach her calmly, letting her know that you’re coming, and she spooks easily by loud noises or unexpected movements.
Mosaic would probably do best in a home without small children and would enjoy having another kitten or cat to play with.
