Due to a very bad case of gingivitis which resulted in soreness and bleeding gums, Viola underwent a full mouth tooth extraction at the same time as she was spayed
The vet thought that this was the best course of action and she is now on half a pill of clavaseptin 62.5 mg 2x a day, and 0.2mg of Metacam in a syringe once a day for inflammation, both given orally, and recovering very nicely.
Other than this, she does not show any other signs of illness.
Both Viola and her sister Merelda are of very sweet, docile temperament.
Viola doesn't mind being picked up or petted at all - she won't struggle at all as some cats do.
Viola sometimes may be a bit shy and likes to hide out behind the clothes in her foster mom's closet where it's dark and she feels safe.
Her foster mom will often find her and her sister cuddling together in the back of the closet, but as they grow more accustomed to their foster home, she is more willing to play out in the open.
Viola loves this toy that she plays with... a ball on an elastic string that bounces around.
She'll chase that for a long time.
She likes to purr softly when you pet her, and she will sleep with her foster parents on the bed at times.
Both Viola and Merelda are awesome very sweet cats who seem easy to get along with, well adjusted and super adoptable
Viola is very dependent on her sister Merelda and they would very much like to be adopted together.
