Lacey

It doesn’t always work out. If there’s one truth to life’s many challenges, it’s this one. The Beatles broke up, business partnerships go up in flames, and marriages fail every day. And so, pets and their families are no different. Take Lacey for example. Nice family, not their fault. Nice cat, not her fault either. It just didn’t work out. Lacey is a 5 year old spayed beauty. She was a pampered and loved pet, an only pet who was used to the undivided attention of her humans. When babies came along, she wasn’t thrilled but she stayed well away and could pretend life hadn’t changed. But it had. The babies grew into toddlers, noisy, running, grabbing, hugging, kissing, loving toddlers. Lacey was horrified. She was scared, sad and bereft. Unfortunately on a few occasions she showed aggression to the children, and Lacey was surrendered to Abbey Cats.

Lacey is now looking for another chance. She’s actually a lovely cat, delicate, wellgroomed, affectionate and intelligent. If she has one fault it is that she loved too intensely; she was so devoted to the adults in her home, she couldn’t share. Maybe she realizes now what happened. Maybe if the family had waited a little longer, let the children and the cat set their own boundaries, waited until the children were older. But that didn’t happen, and Lacey is looking for a new home. It would be better this time if there are no small kids, and no other pets. Lacey gives 100%, but she wants that much back. She also wants with all her heart for everything to work out.

Lacey would be best in a home where there are no small kids, and no other pets
