Lucca is a sweet and gentle cat who is learning to love humans as much as her kittens.
Lucca came to Abbey Cats as part of a large rescue from a shelter north of Toronto with her kittens aged two weeks.
Lucca is a tiny companion who loves to talk for all sorts of reasons.
She is teaching her fosters which chirps are for soft pets, just conversation and when it is time for more food of course.
Lucca is very trainable and is learning to listen and adjust her old habits to live in a new home with rules.
She does better each week about not going on the table and stays on the chair more often than not.
Lucca is learning to be a lap cat but still occasionally waits for an invitation to sit on a lap and get on the bed.
She always appreciates when the foster humans sit on the floor and give pats and, recently has started to engage in playtime with the toys the humans bring out to play with.
Lucca will need a patient home to help her fully come out of her shell and be able to enjoy her forever people. In her foster home.
Lucca has only been exposed to adults and hasn’t found one she doesn’t like yet.
A home with teens, but no small children or dogs, will be best suited for this young lady who is going to be a loyal shadow to a lucky family.
Lucca will be best suited to a more mature home. She is growing confidence and curiosity week over week in her foster environment to accept the space and safety she now has the opportunity to live in. An understanding and patient home will help Lucca thrive and show off her gorgeous green eyes filled with curiosity and smiles.
Lucca is an extremely playful and active young cat who needs another cat in the home for company or needs to be adopted with another cat in the program.
A feline companion will increase her comfort and acceptance of her forever home.
Lucca is extremely playful (not much more than a kitten herself) and would very much like to be adopted with her buddy Trieste
