Malone came into our house ready to get love and affection from every person in our house! He hopped right on top of our laps and began to purr.
He enjoys relaxing and napping while his humans are reading or watching TV. He enjoys being around humans more than other animals, and will always be close by no matter what you are doing in the house.
He enjoys playing with wand toys, and occasionally like to chase little balls.
He especially likes to roll on his back to receive some tummy scratches. He likes being brushed as well; you will hear some loud purring from him after this spa ritual!
He would love a home with any human that could snuggle and pet him. He is living with Jacob but is neutral about him.
He gets along with other cats but is more human-focused. He loves people and attention.
He needs a home where there are several people to shower him with love, or a single owner who is home a great deal of the time.
Malone would be happy as an only or with a passive, docile cat
Malone was recently diagnosed as FIV +
What does that mean in the long run?
Often FIV+ cats can lead normal and healthy lives with no issues
With good food and a relatively stress free home, Malone can have a healthy life with a normal lifespan.
FIV is spread through mating (Malone cannot mate) and vicious fights through severe bite wounds (Malone is docile and not a fighter) and NOT through daily contact such as mutual grooming, sleeping together, sharing food and water bowls or litter boxes, and is certainly not transmissible to people.
