Morse was found living in a one-bedroom apartment with 150 cats. When the rescuers arrived he immediately walked into a cat carrier, his own Morse Code for "get me outta here!" We are so glad we did. He is the loveliest boy.

When he arrived, he was scared, sick and so weak he needed hand feeding. His resilience has been amazing because now he is a sociable, inquisitive and affectionate cat still amazed that the food bowl magically refills itself!

He likes lots of attention from his humans, pets and chin scratches are great. He particularly likes to be picked up for a quick hug when he comes home or first thing in the morning. Whilst he loves affection like most young cats he hasn't the patience to sit in your lap. This will come.

Morse is beginning to learn about toys and likes a wand toy and laser pointer and catnip will get you far. He will be a living addition to a home where he can get the continued support to become the happy relaxed cat he is proving himself to be.

We believed Morse would be fine living with other cats as that was the only life he had ever known, but it seems that Morse got used to living s a pampered only in a quiet home with a single person and decided this was the lifestyle he would like to live going forward.

Morse was adopted to a lovely family who had a cat slightly older than Morse but Morse was having none of it.  The family very reluctantly had to return him to the program.

MORSE NEEDS TO BE AN ONLY CAT in a home with no dogs, young children or cats.  Experienced older children would be okay.  Most important is the willingness to continue to encourage him as he gains confidence.  He is a very social boy and needs a home where someone is at home a lot.
