Nanny

Nanny is a curvaceous grey haired beauty who traveled a long way to her new foster home.
Some of Nanny’s early life we know and some remains a mystery.

She is approximately 2 years old and it is believed that she was a young mother at one point!
Now she’s spayed and that part of her life is behind her, and she can relax!

Nanny was found outside with a colony of cats and kittens.
Some of the kittens even looked like her, which is why we suspect she was a mom!
Also her body type (curvy) not only gives signs to her enjoying her meals but possible also a pregnancy in the past.
Unfortunately not all of them survived … but Nanny did!

Nanny enjoys being brushed.
Her fur was in a bit of a rough state when she arrived at her new foster home but within days - of having good quality food and regular brushing - it looks much better and will get better and better with time.

Nanny is afraid of loud noises.
Her favourite spot to retreat is under a night-table but once she feels safe she will come out.
She doesn’t like to hide for long! She would appreciate a cave like space to retreat to if she feels like it.

During her first night at her new home she was purring, got brushed, ate her food, drank water, used her litter box, got pets on the bed…. She settled in nicely.
She had a huge journey in a crate to get to her foster home and she was good and quiet the entire time.

Nanny’s foster sister is older than her and a bit more playful.
Nanny and her get along nicely but Nanny is good at setting boundaries (paw up) to let her foster sister know she doesn’t want to play.
Nanny is a bit more serious and responsible, considering her past outdoor life that can be expected.
We think kitten-hood kind of passed her by so to speak.
She likes watching her foster sister play with her foster dad. She loves cat nip and treats!

Nanny needs a quiet home.
She would do well as a single cat or even might enjoy a home with another quiet, respectful cat (maybe even an elderly cat).
No dogs or children for Nanny, please! (she’d rather not be a nanny to them)
