Prince is a 2 year old silver lynx point who has the gentle temperament to match his good looks!
He was surrendered to the shelter by the owner. Apparently Prince lunged at a new cat the owner was holding and the owner was scratched. He was put in quarantine at the shelter but displayed no aggression. However he was scared of the other animals at the Shelter so needs to be the only pet in the household.
He has settled in nicely and likes to explore his surroundings although he will answer and come if you call him. Quite the communicator who will nudge your hand or leg to show when he needs attention or food. Loves to be near his human so will want to be in the room where you are. Loves to snuggle and be petted so naps in your lap and sleeps on your bed. I think he is a little insecure so time in a loving permanent home will resolve that.
As a young cat he has lots of energy so playtime is important; his favourites being a laser pointer and Cat Dancer toy. Watching the birds and squirrels outside the window is fun too!
Anyone interested in adopting this cat MUST be experienced in dealing with long haired Persian type cats as he will require a great deal of daily grooming and maintenance when his coat grows back in. he had to be shaved when he was first surrendered as his fur was so matted.
Only those with the relevant experience and expertise can be considered as adopters for him.
We regret that due to high demand for this cat we can only respond to those applicants who may meet this criteria.
Note: He MUST be an only cat and he would NOT be suitable in a home with young children.
