This shy beauty will need lots of patience and time to adjust to her forever home.
Raine is quite timid but you can tell she is curious about people!
She spent the first week in her foster home hiding under the couch, venturing out only when the humans were gone, or asleep.
After a week, she started to approach her foster parents and sniff them out and occasionally allowing them to pet her.

Now she sleeps on her foster mom's pillow and wakes her up by chewing on her hair and/or giving her a scalp massage.
She definitely prefers affection on her own terms, and she doesn't like having her head petted.
She likes to have her back scratched.... in VERY small doses

Raine (and Shawnee) would do best in a quiet home (no dogs or small children) with a family who has the patience to allow them to blossom into loving companions on their own terms.
They have already made great strides in their new foster home and are a total delight to their foster mom as she's watched their personalities come out.

Raine is a beautiful, sweet and regal Russian Blue Cross who will need to be adopted with her sister Shawnee who she loves and plays with and relies on for company.
Raine can gain confidence from her more outgoing sister
Watching them play together is quite the spectacle!

Raine has really started to come out of her shell and has actually become quite the little snuggle bug!  She starts every morning lying on her foster mother’s chest and nuzzling her neck with her face; and she loves to sleep on her humans’ stomachs.
She also likes curling up next to people when they’re reading or on a laptop.
When visitors came over recently, her foster parents were quite surprised to see that Raine had been quite curious and friendly with them!
She is still a little bit shy, but she will come over for a sniff and maybe even some butt scratches.

Raine might be ok with an older child or children (say 7-8 years old)  willing to respect her boundaries and give her space when she wants it.
Raine does give little love bites when she gets excited, but she has never broken skin, and because of this, would not be suitable for young children who are less able to anticipate the love nips.
