Rodney Stewart arrived from North bay Shelter with the widest scared eyes. He would back into the tiniest corner of the cupboard/box if someone entered the room. For a week he kept his beautiful face and markings hidden under the couch and then, like a switch, decided his foster home was safe.
Rodney has shown his playful side over the last 2 weeks. He counterbalances Hazel in calm, big-eyed stares and we are yet to hear him meow. Rodney is keen to play and easily amuses himself too. He loves ping pong balls and is fascinated by hair ties. Rodney loves to be stroked and will lean in to nuzzle you, but is not so keen on being picked up just yet. He is a laid back puddle of fluff who sleeps most of the day but acts more like a kitten at night.
Rodney watches Hazel’s movements around the house to gauge what is safe and has attempted to groom Hazel a few times. He was very stressed by the last move and would do well to stay with Hazel in a quieter home without young children.
Rodney Stewart should be adopted with Hazel.
