Rosemary came to Abbey Cats from an overcrowded shelter.
At the time, she was pregnant with what appeared to be 20 kittens (based on the size of her belly).
In late October, she gave birth to 5 very round, very formal looking, tuxedo kittens.
All of her kittens have either been adopted already, or are expected to be within the next week, and now it is time to find Rosemary the perfect home that she deserves.
Rosemary's foster mother has referred to her as "the perfect cat."
She is sweet and even tempered, vocalizes when she wants her litterbox refreshed or is running low on food, and is both affectionate and respectful of personal space.
She will greet you when you enter the room, check in on you, sit next to you, but not crawl all over you or get in your face.
She loves the 6 year old child who lives in the foster home, and is very trusting of humans in general.
She is not so hot on the family dogs or cats, but that is likely because of protective instincts related to her kittens.
When her final kitten is adopted, Rosemary will be integrated in with the rest of the house pets and this bio will be updated.
Rosemary has shown no interest in snatching human food or trying to get outside, she is a very law-abiding citizen.
Rosemary is a supermom multi-tasker, even continuing to bake bread while giving birth to her brood, purring the entire time.
She has big, beautiful, expressive eyes, and is on the smaller size for a full grown cat.
She is very cooperative when getting her nails trimmed, has not scratched any furniture, climbed any counters, and will walk right into the cat carrier as soon as she sees it.
Rosemary is an exceptional cat, and foster mom (who is one of 3 neurodivergent adults in the foster home) believes Rosemary would be an excellent companion for someone with autism, in part, because of her predictable nature, even temper, and respect for boundaries.
Currently, it seems like Rosemary would prefer to be a lone pet, but this bio will be updated when she has been more exposed to the other animals in the home.
Rosemary does well with calm people, including children.
