Sage was a homeless mama - doing her very best to keep her wee babies sheltered and safe.
Fortunately she found some humans willing to lend a hand. Her babies have all grown and been adopted - and now its time for dear Sage to find a place of her very own.
We aren’t sure how Sage ended up outside, struggling to support her little family, but we do know that she cannot go back where she came from.
Sage has been living in her foster home for four months.
She has made good progress - but she will probably always be somewhat wary of people.
She still occasionally hisses at her foster mom and she still doesn’t want to be pet... but she will take yummy treats from her foster mom’s hand and if you sit quietly she will come and give you a sniff and then sit nearby and calmly watch you.
Some days she will be very bold and come right up to her foster mom’s feet and give a hiss as if to say ”I am hungry, Break out those treats!”.
Sage has become friends with Gracie, they rub noses and sometimes sleep together on the cat tree.
Sage and Gracie do not need to be adopted together though they do enjoy each other’s company.
Sage may never be a true lap cat but she will be a friend and companion and you will have saved a beautiful cat saved from a hard life on the street.
She needs a quiet home that will be patient and kind and just enjoy her quiet company.
