Teneka came to Abbey Cats after a kind person found her outside in unfortunate circumstances and brought her indoors for care. She was surrendered to Abbey Cats and has settled into foster care.

Teneka is a beautiful tortie cat with bright green eyes. She has a gorgeous striking colour to her and such a beautiful gaze.

Teneka came to us with some medical care required and not feeling her best. However, now that she is feeling much better, we can see her every day acting more "herself". She loves to explore the house, look out windows, get pet and brushed, and is starting to learn about playtime more and more. She does a funny move when she wants pets where she will prop up on her hind legs to try to get your attention sometimes or to make her head reach your hand better.

In her foster home, Teneka has been an increasingly social girl. However, she prefers to interact with humans over other cats and would really like a home where she can soak up all the affection as an only cat.

Teneka is also a very food-motivated cat. She really loves mealtime, especially when wet food is in the picture, and is a massive fan of treats.

It will be important to continue to teach her limits on treats as she is just a touch on the voluptuous side and would likely overeat when it comes to wet food and treats if given the opportunity.

Teneka would like to be adopted into a home where she is the only cat and one that would provide her with a lot of love and affection and continue to show her how wonderful it is to have humans who care for her in her life.

She does not like other cats and needs to be a single cat.
