Thomas loves to play and have attention so would benefit from living with more than one person, and possibly another friendly feline who likes a tumble.
Thomas was surrendered due to lack of space and is suspected to have come from a hoarding situation.
He is a smart, sweet and affectionate fellow who loves to play and receive attention. Probably because of his history, Thomas was apprehensive when he first arrived at his foster home and took a bit of time to feel comfortable coming out into the open. Thomas has since made great strides and follows his foster mom about, but will still need some encouragement from patient guardians.
Thomas is quite tall and strong and is enjoying practicing his skills at running and chasing the laser pointer, which he has a knack for. He will do best with some room to play and run, so may be better in a house or larger apartment.
Thomas watches people's reactions with caution and is sensitive to reprimand, so he needs to be corrected gently and with understanding. He has a wonderful sense of humour and cute mannerisms and and will give his new guardians much joy in return for their efforts.
Having more than one person to encourage and play with Thomas would be an asset. He might also like a playmate who is non-dominant and enjoys a tumble. Thomas will benefit from lots of patient attention since he still has many wonderful things to discover about people, the world, and himself.
He might do well with another non-dominant cat. But he would be very happy to be an only and very indulged guy.
Thomas would probably be ok with older children, but we would not recommend small kids.
