Thor was originally with a shelter in Quebec, and then moved to a shelter in North Bay. Due to a shortage of shelter space, Thor joined the Abbey Cats foster care system (without being placed in our foster system, Thor may have been euthanized!).

Thor is an outgoing, large black cat. He is named well - much like the mythological character Thor, he is a big and powerful cat. If you like big dogs, you might like Thor, because he is a cat the size of a small dog, or perhaps larger! Also because of his large size, he is getting meals twice daily instead of a 'free feeding' bowl. (Google free feeding vs scheduled feeding)
He is healthy and happy 5 year old, and amazing with people. Nothing scares this boy! He enjoys cuddling with humans and is incredibly grateful to be in a home after a few months in a cage.

At his foster home, he is slowly getting more and more activity throughout his day so he can develop coordination and athleticism. His size is...his size! If you are looking for a big cuddly boy, Thor is your go to!

He would do well with any home, but he would especially love a home where his people were home a lot to keep him company.

He would be fine on his own or would also like to be with a friendly respectful cat who would not try to dominate him.
