Hi, I’m Dainty!
A small, black and white cat looking for my forever home!
Dainty originally came from a home with lots of other cats, and while she’s perfectly fine with cat friends, she’s learned to stand her ground and set boundaries with a quick hiss or swat when she needs to.
She’s not one to be pushed around, but she gets along great with other cats as long as they respect her space.
We imagine she would get along great with a gentle cat or be ok on her own too.
Dainty is shy at first and can be easily spooked by loud noises or sudden movements.
But she is quick to forgive and will come right back for a gentle pet or a belly rub.
Once she feels safe she likes to nuzzle somewhere close to you like on a pillow or blanket nearby.
She would thrive in a quiet home that would let her adjust and set things at her own pace.
Dainty has adjusted well to being an indoor cat.
She loves to find a cozy, quiet spot for a nap but will come out a few times a day for some playtime.
She loves to sit by the window to watch birds and everything happening outside.
However, she will leave her post if you are doing something interesting, like grabbing a snack from the fridge or changing laundry.
She wants to be around the action, just not directly in it.
She also loves treats, especially those Churu food tubes.
She was a bit of a picky eater at the start and wouldn’t take to wet food, so her new family might need to try a few different foods to find one she loves. But once you find it, she’ll be a happy eater.
Dainty is good with the litter box and hasn’t had an accident.
She is ok with being picked up as long as you are going somewhere exciting.
She is often hanging out just out of reach, even when you least suspect it.
She’d love a family or home where she can watch from a distance and approach silently.
Because she is quick to spook with noises, we would suggest a quiet home.
But she is also quick to recover so this isn’t mandatory.
Dainty does like to seek out action once she has calmed a bit.
Another, gentler cat would be nice but not necessary.
