Meet Mango – A sweet and lively kitten who loves to play and snuggle
Hello! My name is Mango and I am a female domestic shorthair kitten with soft and shiny black fur and sparkling green eyes.
I had a rough start in life. When I was a baby, I was left behind in an apartment. The new tenant and her young child looked after me for six months, but when they moved again they couldn’t take me with them. That’s when I went to live with my foster mom.
But while I may have had some challenges in life, I haven’t let them get me down! In fact, they have helped me become a confident, curious and adaptable girl who loves to cuddle and play.
I’m a lively kitten and enjoy playing with spring toys, chasing balls and running around when I get the “zoomies.” I especially like looking out the window to watch birds.
I love hanging out with my foster mom and always want to part of what’s going on. I help her make the bed, I sit on a kitchen stool to watch her cook and sit on her lap while she works on her computer. I’m very affectionate and like to climb onto her shoulder and snuggle in bed at night.
I’m alone sometimes during the day but am always very well behaved. And when I hear the key in the door, I greet my foster mom with a happy little meow. I love kids and am very curious when new people come by.
I have a healthy appetite and enjoy wet and dry food. I wait patiently to be fed in the morning (no 5 a.m. wake-up meows) am very clean and always use my litterbox.
While my first two owners couldn’t keep me, I know that the third time is the charm! I’m microchipped, spayed and vaccinated and ready to go to my forever home, where I will give my new family lots of love and fun.
A note from Mango’s foster mom: “Black kittens are special and Mango is a real gem. She is affectionate, playful and inquisitive. She is very confident and adaptable and I think she would enjoy living with children and other pets. Mango is a special kitten and her forever home will be lucky to adopt this sweet girl.”
Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of six months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company.
