How To Help

There are many ways to help support Abbey Cat Adoptions including Volunteering, Fostering, Donating, and of course Adopting! Read on to learn more about each.

Our passion is to find the best possible permanent home for every animal in our care.

ADOPT If you are able to adopt a cat and save a life, please visit our Available Cats & Kittens selections to find your perfect companion

If you can’t adopt- FOSTER. We do not have a shelter and rely exclusively on volunteer foster homes to care for our cats while they await placement in permanent homes. Our Fostering guide will provide you with additional information on how you can become a foster parent to a cat in need.

If you can’t foster – VOLUNTEER What are your superpowers? Could you help with social media? Are you a TikTok guru? Photographer? Video content creator? Could you interview adopters? Facilitate adoptions? There are always ways to volunteer your skills if you have some time to give to these animals in For more information check out our Volunteering guide

If you can’t volunteer – DONATE We rely on donations from the public and adopter alumni as we are not a government-funded agency but rather a grassroots organization made up of caring people like yourself. Donations are always desperately needed and always received with our utmost gratitude. Please visit our Donations page for more information.

Finally,if you can’t donate – EDUCATE Keep spreading the word about compassionate care; spay/neuter, and keeping cats indoors

Whatever you are able to do – THANK YOU for caring!

Adopting

There is nothing we strive for more than to find loving homes for the animals in our care. If you are able to adopt a cat and save a life, please browse through our Available Cats & Kittens selections to find your perfect pet.

Fostering

Second only to finding a permanent home for each and every cat in the program, fostering is one of the most important aspects of Abbey Cat Adoptions. We do not have a shelter and rely exclusively on volunteer foster homes to care for our cats while they await placement in permanent homes. Our Fostering page will provide you with additional information on how you can become a foster parent to a cat in need.

For a wonderful article on what’s involved in fostering, this is a great read by the Kitten Lady: Fostering 101.

The Kitten Lady has also written this very moving blog: It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye…to Foster Kitties.
