Aisling Is Now Rumi!
Happy to share that Aisling is home!
We’ve actually decided to name her Rumi! She’s been so playful and affectionate since she walked in. Sharing some videos below
Thank you again to Shauna and the Abbey Cat team!
One day in and Rumi has really made herself at home.
She is now officially our neighbourhood watch – absolutely loving spending time by the windows and watching the snow fall outside.

Melo Is Having A Great First Month!
Hello everyone,
Hope you are well.
One month update on sweet Melo.
Melo is transitioning very well into her forever hone.
She has her routines with everyone.
With Jose she spends the morning with him on the couch.
With the girls she plays with them and her toys when they get back from school.
I work from home so she follows me around and sits with me in the living room and kitchen.
Her favorite places to sit are at the end of the couch. My office chair and under the kitchen table at my feet.
She loves her treats and is still on her diet of blue food.
She is eating so well and runs when her automatic feeder beeps.
She is sweet and is now comfortable with petts and kisses on the head.
Jose and I have also been able to pick her up for a few seconds.
In the evening she loves being active and doing zoomies in the living room.
She enjoys Friday night movie night and always sits with us in the living room when we watch TV.
I know this is a long update but honestly I just couldn’t resist.
She is so sweet and loving and we are so happy she has made herself at home.
Thank you to you all

Quick update to confirm I picked up Chantilly tonight – she’s safely tucked into my bathroom and is playing paws with Izzy under the door!
They are both so chatty 🥰
😂 she is so photogenic and attended a number of conference calls with me this morning!
Rowan’s Is A 10/10 Adoption Story!
Hi all,
I just left a review but thought I’d share it here, too, with additional photos in case you’d like to use them on your site.
Thanks again!
“It’s the one year anniversary of my adoption through Abbey Cats, so I thought I’d give them a thoughtful review.
If you’re wondering if you should adopt a rescue but are feeling nervous about the outcome, definitely get in touch with Abbey (and- as an experienced cat owner- I highly recommend looking into a senior, if your circumstances allow for it… they make the absolute best, sweetest friends)
I’m really impressed with the care and professionalism they showed throughout the process of adopting our little guy. It was reassuring to know how thoroughly they vet applicants, because there are so many people out there (on a scale of well-meaning-but-ill-prepared to downright despicable) who are trying to get access to animals; I think Abbey Cat’s system screens for that as best as can be asked for.
They clearly take care in screening their foster parents, too. My kitty came to me in excellent health and was very well loved by his foster mum. My vet remarked to me that he was not only in beautiful condition physically, but based on his behaviour, he had been treated with nothing but gentleness by his previous caregiver.
He’s extremely sweet with my partner and I, our other cats, and everyone who comes to visit (even overly enthusiastic toddlers). He plays fetch with craft pompoms and howls with murderous ecstasy when he catches them. He sleeps by our feet every night. He follows me from room to room, politely involving himself in everything I do. He grew one long, super curly whisker (see last photo- it grew twice as long in the end).
10/10 cat, 10/10 experience 💛”
Monty & Rico Are Part Of The Family Now!
Hello Abbey Cats,
As promised, I am following up to let you know that our adopted kittens Rico and Monty have been neutered and chipped. They continue to be a wonderful addition to our family (and even our older cat Berry has come to reluctantly tolerate them — as long as they stay clear of “her” chair and her spot on the bed 😂).
All the best,
Kosha
